Upcoming Service Opportunities/Events

Do you know that St. Vincent de Paul maintains two Dayton shelters for the homeless?
Do you know that the shelters serve three meals a day, 365 days a year?
In response to this need, the Good Hope SVDP conference is asking parishioners to provide casseroles
to feed shelter residents. To serve casseroles at both shelters they need 50 – 70 casseroles of the same recipe.
Can you help with one meal?

Casseroles for the Homeless
Saturday, August 10th
The plan is as follows:
-
To donate a casserole, you need to pick up a foil pan after Mass on the weekend of July 27/28 at Good Hope.
-
We provide the pan and the recipe to make a cheesy potato casserole. You provide the ingredients and the time to make it and freeze it.
-
The drive-through drop off of the casseroles will be in the parking area near the Good Hope Church entrance on Saturday, August 10 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
-
Please have the casserole frozen for at least 36 hours so transport is easier.
The SVDP ministry thanks you for your support of this project. For more information, please call Rose at 937 271 1218.
